Fourth Circle (Saturn) – Service

Serving the Community

After your scion initiation you are expected to serve the community. This may involve mundane clerical or administrative duties, rudimentary tasks at gatherings, assisting in nest activities, leading rituals, offering classes, or donating time in your particular area of expertise.

Circle Content

Read “Creating Circles & Ceremonies” by Oberon & Morning Glory Zell
Undergo Scion Initiation Ritual
Receive Scion Certificate, vows, red ID card
Make a tithing pledge
Take on an active role in CAW affairs
Make and deepen personal connections with other members
Continue magickal and spiritual training, studies and practice
Become familiar with the broad history of Paganism
Read at least eight books from the Bibliography in at least five different categories
Be active in a Nest or magickal circle
Study ancient traditions such as Greek, Egyptian, or local indigenous
Visit other religious centres and services. Engage in interfaith dialogues
Undertake some training in counselling and other areas of healing
Be prepared to act as a Scion Advisor for other members
Drama Training
Explore and establish patterns of healthy living
Commune with Mother Nature
Become informed and politically active concerning environmental and social justice issues
Familiarize yourself further with CAW literature, history and internal structure
Share water and become water-siblings with other waterkin
